When Squid Game premiered in 2021 it became a worldwide phenomenon almost overnight. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk returned to finish the story with Season 2 in December 2024 and Season 3 in June 2025, completing the saga of Seong Gi-hun, Player 456.
What happens in Season 2?
Gi-hun won the games — but instead of enjoying the prize, he has spent years hunting the people behind them. Season 2 follows him back inside, this time determined to bring the whole thing down. New players, new games and a voting system that turns contestants against each other make it every bit as tense as the original.
